With parks, pools, and gymnasiums closed across the country, many parents wake up each morning wondering how they’re going to keep their little ones entertained and active all day.
Even though some of our locations are still closed, that doesn’t mean we’re rolling up our mats just yet.
Keeping Kids Active at Home
Virtual Classes
That’s right, many The Little Gym locations have opened their virtual doors and are bringing class right into your living room with The Little Gym at Home!
The Little Gym at Home incorporates everything your little one has grown to know and love about in-gym classes, but now can be practiced in the comfort of their own home. Private and group classes are now being offered on member-only Facebook Pages via Facebook Live or pre-recorded video.
Free Online Resources
Our goal has always been to improve the health and wellness of kids in the community, even if they don’t come into our gym every week. Right now, we’re offering free resources to help you and your little ones get through each day with a smile, a laugh, and a little movement.
- Self-care tips for parents. As if parenting wasn’t hard enough, a global pandemic can make your job 100x harder. If you’re one of the millions of parents working from home and trying to teach your kid math homework on your lunch break, let us be one of the first to say, you’re doing amazing — just don’t forget to take care of yourself as well.
- Keeping your family routine. With school, work, and extracurricular activities on pause right now, it can be easy to fall into a routine of waking up late and hanging out on the couch in your pajamas all day. While we’re certainly not against that once in a while, it’s important to keep a (somewhat) consistent schedule while you’re at home.
- Stress relief for kids. Stress and anxiety are anything but an “adult problem.” Even if your kids aren’t old enough to read or watch the news, they know that something is going on. With more than 10% of kids struggling with anxiety, it’s never been more important to keep them active, keep them engaged, and keep them healthy.
